The PE & Sports Institute is holding a charity campaign for the Animal Welfare Association of Veszprém

Since spring this year, our students have been visiting the shelters of the Animal Welfare Association of Veszprém in the framework of physical education classes. We got to know and love puppies such as Réka, Hadar, Togo, Pötyi, Mézi ; and cats such as Salamon, Junior, Popi and Pöpi, Sebi and Mario.

Send them a Christmas present yourself!

What are we collecting?
You can support the work of the Animal Protection Association Veszprém with the following donations:
- for cats: litter, canned or bagged food, diabetic food
- for dogs: toys, reward bait, leash, collar, senior food, hypoallergenic food
- towels, sheets, bed linen cover

With the support of the VESC (Veszprémi Egyetemi Sport Club, Veszprém University Sports Club), the citizens of the University of Pannonia can use the service with a reduced entrance fee (10.000 HUF/10 times, 5.000 HUF/5 times).

The discount can be requested at the VESC office (Egyetem street 10., Gymnastics Hall - VESC office)

You can rent ice skate at the location for 500 HUF/person/hour if you don't have one.

IMPORTANT: You can use the upper discounted passes ONLY in the indicated periods.

You receive PE signature for skating in case of using the discounted passes.

To celebrate our 20th anniversary of Faculty of Business and Economics, we are looking forward to a 20 km performance hike on Saturday 14 October 2023. Hopefully you’ll be motivated by the fact that we’re going to the beautiful Tihany peninsula, but if you’re a student, you’ll also be motivated by the fact that you can get 5 signatures in PE lessons for taking part., but if you’re a student, you’ll also be motivated by the fact that you can get 5 signatures in PE lessons for taking part.

 Date: Saturday 14 October 2023.

 For people arriving by bus: meeting at 8:15 am at the bus station in Veszprém (platform , from where we take the 8:30 bus down to Tihany. After about an hour’s journey, (getting off at the lower stop in Tihany), we will meet our car at the Kotyogós Café on the southern shore of Lake Innere.

 For people arriving by car: meeting at 9:30 am at the Kotyogós Café on the southern shore of Lake Innere.

 About the tour: the hike is 20 km long, with 760 metres of ascent. The hike is considered to be of medium difficulty and will take approximately 7 hours.

 Route of the tour: Tihany Inner-lake Kotyogós Coffee Terrace – Hanging Hill – Golden House – Gejzírmező – Újlaki church ruins – Fishing Huts – Csúcs Hill – Apáti Hill – Apáti church ruins – Outer Lake – Small Forest Roof – Old Castle – Friends’ Apartments – Boat Station – Calvary – Abbey – Tihany Inner-lake south shore parking

 The way back: may vary depending on journey times. 18:17 pm direct bus, 17:34 pm or 19:34 pm with a transfer to Füred.
