University football home tournament starts

The University of Pannonia Spring Football Home Tournaments kicked off on March 9, with evening matches under the lights making for a special opening. Twelve teams are participating in this popular university sporting event this year, and nearly 150 students take the field each week. ⚽🏆

The matches are held on the small artificial turf field at University of Pannonia’s upper campus, where teams compete on Mondays and Wednesdays. The championship is not only about competition but also about community: it provides students with a great opportunity to stay active and spend time together alongside their studies. 📅

In the opening match, the Bunkerfoci team faced off against Kőbányai FC, kicking off the spring series, which promises many exciting matches in the coming weeks. 🤩

A special feature of the championship is that match results can also be tracked in the MLSZ database, allowing participants and fans to continuously follow the standings. 🥅📋

The organizers hope that this year’s spring championship will once again bring many exciting matches and fair play, while further strengthening the sports community of Pannon University. 👏🏼
